Last9 integrates with Slack's Incoming Webhooks to send alerts and resolution message on the configured channel for any and all services
Navigate to https://api.slack.com/apps and click on Create an App
Provide Last9 as the App Name, select your own workspace and click on Create App
Select Incoming Webhooks
from the list of features and functionality on the next screen
Activate the Incoming Webhooks
(toggle on top right) on the next screen
Click Add New Webhook to Workspace
Select the relevant channel name from the drop down and click on Allow
You will see all the channels accessible that you have been added to here. Please make sure that you are added to the relevant channel already.
Copy the Webhook URL
from the next page and share it with the Last9 team
Create new channel of the Slack type in Last9 Dashboard and add the webhook to it.
By default the channel is not assigned to any Service. To start receiving alerts for a specific Service, navigate to the Service and assign the channel to the service from Service specific settings.
A same channel can be assigned to multiple Services at the same time. Once a channel is assigned to a Service, whenever the Service is degraded, an alert will be sent on that Slack Channel.
When Last9 detects a service as resolved, it will automatically send a resolved alert message on the same channel
